Who is responsible
Switch Energy Limited is the data controller for everything described here. Write to us at hello@switch.cy with any question about your details.
What we collect
Using the calculator collects nothing personal. Your answers stay on your device until you press Send.
If you press Send, we collect your name, email address, phone number, your six answers, and the estimate you were shown.
If you send feedback, we collect your message, your email address if you add one, the page you were on, and the estimate you were shown.
Why
To email you your results if you asked for that, and to pass your details to installers if you ticked that box. We use the answers to understand what people in Cyprus are looking for.
Who sees it
Switch Energy Limited. Google, whose Sheets and Gmail services receive the form, keep the list and send the emails. If you ticked the installer box, up to three installers we have vetted, so they can contact you for a free assessment. Nobody else. We never sell your details.
Legal basis
We share your details with installers, and email you your results, only on your consent: the two boxes on the contact screen, both unticked until you tick them. You can withdraw either at any time by emailing us. We also keep aggregate counts of how many people reach each step, which is our legitimate interest in seeing whether the calculator works; those counts identify nobody.
Where your details are held
Google may store data on servers outside the European Economic Area. That transfer relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long
Twelve months from the day you sent them, then deleted. Sooner if you ask.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details at any time. Email hello@switch.cy and we will do it within a week.
Complaints
If you think we have handled your details badly, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus, which supervises us.
Visit counting
We count how many people reach each step, using GoatCounter. It sets no cookies and records nothing that identifies you.
